A MERIS Level 1B scene (top of atmosphere (TOA) radiances) obtained on April 24th, 2003, showing a coccolithophore bloom near Cape Town. The bloom was independently confirmed through in-situ measurements obtained by the Department of Oceanography, University of Cape Town.
